The regulated refrigerant gases or CFC's R11,R12,R113,R114 & R115 were banned completely since 2000 and the use of R22 was banned from use in new equipment since 2004 and any servicing R22 systems will not be permitted from 2010
If you have an R22 system and it will need repairing or servicing, from 1st January 2010 you will be relying on spares & R22 gas being available otherwise it will need to be replaced.
F-Gas European Regulations.
All systems containing 3.0kg or more will require a leak test annually and certificated. The owner is responsible for keeping these records on file. This applies to R410A,R407C systems, most commonly used refrigerant gases in air conditioning systems today.
This leak test does not apply to R22 systems as they will have to be replaced from 2010 if they cannot be serviced. If you have an R22 system it would be wise to consider budgeting for change within the next couple of years.
All our engineers are CITB trained and qualified to handle refrigerant gases.
GDK is also registered to REFCOM and under the environmental protection act can handle and dispose of waste gas.
It is therefore very important that your systems are well maintained and that you are aware to budget for your future requirements.
GDK would be happy to survey your air conditioning systems and advise you which gases your system has and what we can offer you.
